On the morning of April 9, Ouhai Environmental Protection Bureau and Wenzhou Environmental Protection Bureau jointly held a forum on environmental democracy in Zhejiang Wanchao Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. More than 50 representatives from the industries of leather, printing and dyeing, circuit boards, electroplating and other industries as well as middle-level cadres from municipal and district environmental protection bureaus attended the meeting. Focusing on in-depth study and practice of the scientific concept of development, the meeting took the initiative to create a service-oriented organ as its goal, listened to the opinions and suggestions of people from all walks of life of enterprises on environmental protection work, and investigated the development status of enterprises on the spot, so as to encourage enterprises to seek development and promote growth.

At the forum, representatives of various industries spoke freely and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on investment in environmental infrastructure, pollution control status of enterprises, simplification of environmental examination and approval procedures, improvement of environmental protection work style and other problems, such as too little investment in environmental infrastructure, affecting environmental pollution control work in our region; New and renovated pollution control facilities urgently need the support of government financial subsidies; environmental protection departments should carry out more environmental propaganda, discussion and training to enhance the environmental awareness of enterprises and the people; environmental protection departments should strengthen environmental monitoring and simplify environmental protection approval procedures. For the opinions and suggestions put forward by the representatives of enterprises, the relevant comrades of the environmental protection departments at the municipal and district levels carefully answered them. For the questions that could not be answered in time on the spot, the relevant personnel indicated that they would give written feedback to the representatives of enterprises at the first time after sorting out the research after the meeting. At the same time, the environmental protection department and the representatives of the enterprises also jointly studied and discussed the specific countermeasures that the heavy polluted enterprises should take to cope with the difficulties under the financial crisis, and how the environmental protection department can help the enterprises to transform, upgrade and plan for development. The representatives of the enterprises expressed their deep satisfaction with this.
